I need to post more art on here D: Might just post some of my old work.. >_>
Tokyo, Japan
I had lost everything on my memory stick a couple of weeks back, meaning that all of my hard work was gone. Vanished. All those hours spent and those sleepless nights were for nothing…
I spoke to my lecturers and they said that I shouldn’t bother going over my old work and redoing them because it would be a waste of time, and that I should focus on getting some new work done instead. But I really want to redo them… Well, one in particular.
It’s the first project that I had gone a distinction in and - although I hated the project itself - I loved the final piece. So I’m going to redo the final thing and make those changed (even if they’re miniscule) and put it up in my portfolio.
This is what it looks like at the moment:

So that’s my goal for today! This is going to be fun :)
The signature I have now:

What do you guys think?
Edit my Typographic Walk Poster

- Redo my DPS on the Environment
- Redo the Feel Good Drinks Project
I’ve always wanted to create a tumblr account dedicated to my work, but alas it is blocked at uni so there’s no way for me to get onto it when I’m there. I tried going with Blogger but it just ended up annoying me so I gave up and made an account here.
This is a fresh new start for me because a) I have lost all of my uni work because of my faulty memory stick and b) I need to get some more work done. I haven’t been able to do much work over the Easter because I was just so busy but I’m going to be making it my priority.
If you want to see some of my old work please visit my deviantART account here.
That’s all for now,
Lizzie.
My name’s Liz Owen and I am a Graphic Design student currently studying my second year at the University of Kent (K College). I have a bit of an obsession with drinking tea, but hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows is coming up to a close number one.
In my early days of discovering art I didn’t have a paintbrush, and instead sneaked into the bathroom and got an old toothbrush to use instead. Needless to say it didn’t really produce the same results but it made my parents realise that I did have a big interest in it. The toothbrush got upgraded to the paintbrush, and I slowly moved on from wax crayons to “real art stuff”.
I then grew up to be in love with art and design, and studied Product Design at an A Level coming out with a grade A. Even though I didn’t do art anymore I still did it as a hobby and relied on tutorials from the Internet and in books to help me develop my styles. That’s where I found deviantART; thanks to that website I am able to learn lots of different things and I’m constantly inspired by the beautiful artwork featured there.
I hope to continue to strive in both art and design, and I always get a little spark when discovering something new to experiment with. Even if it means painting with an old toothbrush.
I’m just fed up of looking at this unfinished picture, it’s driving me insane.
I must finish it tonight or I’m gonna’ scream and tear up the place
